On Friday, 24th March, the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards presented 14 award winners and 37 finalists, to showcase the excellence of Worcestershire’s tourism offering.
Conteur was proud to sponsor the glitzy awards evening, which was held at West Midlands Safari Park, and hosted by actor and author Hal Cruttenden.
Our video production team captured the evening’s ceremony, the events backstage and interviewed many of the award winners. They had a great time behind the camera and are now hard at work pulling together the final edits – watch this space!
As an award sponsor for large visitor attraction of the year, Conteur’s Director, David Huckerby presented West Midlands Safari Park with their trophy.
David said: “We know the importance of tourism in Worcestershire and as a local business recognise the benefits this can have for the local community and the county’s visitor economy. We are pleased to be able to support Visit Worcestershire and the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards with promoting this message, and it was the perfect opportunity for us to sponsor their awards evening.”
The winners of the evening will be automatically put forward to the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, giving Worcestershire businesses a national platform for recognition.
Dominique Bray, Business Growth Manager for Visit Worcestershire said: “We were delighted to bring together the Worcestershire tourism sector for an evening of celebration and recognition. After the success of last year’s event, it was welcome to receive an increase of 111 entries creating tough competition.
“Congratulations to all our winners and highly commended. We look forward to seeing Worcestershire businesses go through to the Visit England Awards of Excellence later on this year.”
