What are the 3 stages of video production?
Pre – video production
Having a clear idea of the film you want to produce can be crucial. Having said that, if you and your team aren’t very creative, part of the process at our end is to take your vision and come up with a selection of briefs for you to choose from. One really good idea to research videos that are already out there. If you can send us a few videos and tell us what you like about them, it helps us to build the narrative and the feel of your video to ensure that the end product is what you are hoping for. Information and detail is really important – we often ask people to ‘brain dump’ everything they’re thinking. Perhaps the most important question to ask yourself is WHY. Why do I want to make this video? What is the purpose of it? Then you need to know the audience you’re targeting – who do you want to see it and how can we catch their eye? Another important element can be your key messages? What specific messages are you trying to get across? What is important to you and your company? The more time we take at this stage to plan, the better the video production will be. One example of a video production that we’re super proud of is this one. We had a clear brief for the confetti fields in Wick, Worcestershire. This gave us plenty of scope to create a detailed plan, which meant filming went smoothly. In this particular film, we made a last minute change on the day of filming and shot Charles’ face in a much tighter frame. His face told it’s own story and really helped to showcase his passion. The detailed plan helps to give us the confidence to make last minute creative choices.Video Production Day
Lights, camera, action!!! This is where the fun really begins – all of our video production planning comes to life with the use of our state-of-the-art equipment. Drones, 360 cameras, Sony A7III cameras, lights, sound and a lot of expertise. We pride ourselves not only on our technical expertise but also our skills at getting the very best from contributors. Our ex journalists know how to put people at ease and how to ensure that we’re telling your very best story. We’ll provide you with a detailed call sheet with details and timings for the day that we’ll agree on beforehand to make sure the day runs smoothly. Along with the pre-production, being organised on filming day can make or break a film. It takes a lot of time and skill to set up the areas we film in so timings are crucial. You can always help a film crew on shoot day by ensuring that you and your team are aware of the video production schedule. Most of all though, filming days are great fun!! Many of the companies we work with often comment that it feels like a team building day – we all work together to create something that you and your team can be proud of and want to shout about!Post Production
This is where the magic happens! All the amazing footage that we shot with you gets the full treatment. Our skilled team edit together the very best bits and do all the colour correction and grading. Then we work on the sound and add any music. At this point it’s over to you – we send you the first draft so you and your team can decide on any amends. You get two rounds of amends included in the cost. And that’s it!! When you sign it off, we send the final film to you via a secure online transfer. We want to make your video production experience one that you’ll remember for the experience, not just the epic film that you get at the end of it. Here’s just one of our amazing customers who was kind enough to sing our praises on camera: Confetti Fields Testimonial
